Stewed veal & vegetables

This is a typically french dish that my grand mother used to do and I loved when I was a child! As the veal and vegetables are stewed all together for about 2 hours, it is very tender and tasty!


Ingredients for 4 persons

– 500gr of veal
– 4 carrots
– 1 onion
– Few gloves of garlic
– 12 mushrooms
– 1 vegetables stock cube
– 1 lemon
– 3 spoons of flour


1. Wash, peel and slice the carrots
2. Wash & cut the onion & garlic in small pieces
3. In a pan with olive oil, cook the onion & garlic
4. Then add the veal cutted in small pieces and cook at high temperature for 5 minutes
5. Add carrots & mushrooms
6. Add 4 glasses of water the vegetables stock cube
7. Mix well
8. Remove few spoons of water, put it in a bowl and mix well with the flour
9. Put back the mixture water/flour in the pan
10. Cook at low temperature for 2h with a cover
11. Just before serving, add half of a lemon juice, and few leaves of coriander

You can serve it with rice or pasta.
